The good news is that July starts the second half of 2020, already voted the Year We Want to Forget. The bad news is the weather keeps making up for the lack of official fireworks with thunderstorms from Texas up through the Midwest all the way to Canada.
2020 just keeps on giving presents we didn’t ask for, doesn’t it? Viruses and murder hornets and now an early start to the storm season. Tropical Storm Arthur hits North Carolina today, two weeks before the official storm season starts on June 1.
Nice to distract ourselves with some silly, “May the Fourth Be With You,” jokes, but cheap entertainment becomes gold after enough time in virus jail. On the other hand, hard-core fans who rewatch Star Wars movies on 5/4 each year may not have to call in sick this time.
